What to shoot in a 45 m² studio

Lux Photo Studio is 45 m² on the 5th floor at 13 Av. Gaston Diderich, Luxembourg city: a window wall for daylight, blackout curtains for full dark at any time of day, lights and backdrops already in the room. Here is what works in a room that size and how long to book.

At the start we help you set up the light and the backdrop, free. Setup and cleanup are inside your booked time.

1. Headshots

Clean, consistent portraits for a team page, a website or LinkedIn. Paper backdrop in white, grey or beige; the 120 or 90 cm octabox or the 60 cm beauty dish as key light; a stripbox for hair or rim light. The monitor on set and the 65″ screen let the person see the frames as you shoot, so retakes happen in the room, not by email a week later.

Book: 1 hour (€100) for a few people on one setup; 2 hours (€150) for two looks and a backdrop change.

2. Product and e-commerce

White paper sweep between two stripboxes for clean packshots; grids keep the light off the background. Coloured paper (pink, aqua, red, orange), RGB accent lights and a colour gel set for bolder product images. If you also film, there is continuous LED: Godox SL300 III and 3× SL150. The windblower and the smoke machine help with fabric, hair and atmosphere.

Book: 2 hours (€150) for a short product list; 4 hours (€300) for a catalogue day.

3. Small team portraits

Up to 5 people pay the base price. Groups of 6–10 book from 2 hours (€190), 11 or more from 4 hours (€450); the booking block shows the price for each group size. Shoot individual portraits on one backdrop and the group on the white sweep. Two V-flats and the Sunbounce reflector help even out the light across several faces.

Extra hands: a light assistant for the whole shoot is €40/h.

4. Content days

For brands and creators filming reels, interviews or a batch of social posts in one go. The window wall gives soft daylight; the blackout curtains switch the room to full dark whenever you want, so the mood changes without changing location. The lounge corner with the leather sofa works as a second set. There is a make-up corner with a lit mirror, and a separate make-up room to get ready 1 hour before your time starts (€40).

Book: 4 hours (€300) or 8 hours (€480).

5. Family and kids with your own photographer

Bring the photographer you already work with. When you book, tick Someone else is shooting — I am booking the studio for them; their name is optional. Book a little longer than the shoot itself: small children need breaks, and setup and cleanup count as booked time. Six or more people book from 2 hours.

Keep confetti, glitter and food off the set: if the room needs real cleaning afterwards, it costs €60 plus any damaged backdrop roll.

6. Test shoots

A new lighting setup, a model building a portfolio, a lens or flash trial before a client job. The 3× Godox SK400 strobes and the modifiers are already on stands, so 1 hour (€100) or 1.5 hours (€140) is enough to try several setups.
